Step 1: Get Started
- Create an account using these links
You will receive emails confirming you've opened your account. Save your CCCID number; this can be used to help find your application.Berkeley City College

- Complete the My Journey page and choose a program. Select Fall for Start Term. Programs are not yet loaded for Spring. OIE will assign the correct term, Spring 2027 when we invite you to the International Student Portal.
- Complete the remaining sections and submit.
- Check For Your Welcome Email
Within about an hour of applying, you will receive an email from the college with your new Student ID. Use it to activate your student email and portal logins — you'll need this ID for everything that follows.
Step 2: Request an I-20 (F-1 Students)
- Log in to your International Student Portal or navigate through your Peralta My Student Apps Page
- Complete each section and submit your request for an I-20
- Refer to our Application Checklist for a list of required documents

If you see an error message when signing in to your ISP, you may be applying too early.

Concurrent F-1 and Non-F-1 students
If you are currently an F-1 or J-1 student at another U.S. institution and would like to take a class at one of our colleges, please complete Steps 1 and 2 of the International Student Application Process, and email the following items to international@peralta.edu.

- Passport Bio Page
- Visa Page
- I-94 record
- Current I-20 or DS-2019 Form (if applicable)
