Refund Procedures
A student may request a refund up to the end of the following term in which the refund was due. After that time, the student will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds are not automatic. To request an enrollment fee refund, submit a Refund Request Form at the Cashiers Office on your campus. Once the request is submitted, the refund processing time is 4 to 6 weeks (after the Last Day to Add Classes) during peak periods and 2 to 3 weeks during off-peak periods.
Full-term/Regular Session Classes ( Resident and Non-Resident)
A student who cancels his/her registration prior to the first day of instruction, or officially withdraws from all classes through the Last Day to Drop Regular Session Classes and Receive a Refund deadline, shall be entitled to a full refund less a $10 processing fee (charged whether or not the class was attended).
Short-Term and Late Start Classes (Resident and Non-Resident)
A student enrolled in a short-term class will receive a 100% refund (minus a $10 processing fee) if he/she officially withdraws before the 10% point of the length of the course.
CVC Exchange Student Refund Policy
It is the student's responsibility who wishes to withdraw from a class to do so by the refund deadline dates listed above to qualify for a credit of tuition and/or fees. After your class(es) have been dropped, email a request for a refund to studentfinance@peralta.edu. Please send requests from your registered email that is listed in your account and include your full name, student ID number, and date of birth. Enrollment fee refunds are subject, once a semester, to the withholding of a $10 administrative fee. Once the request is submitted, the refund processing time is 1 to 2 weeks.
Variable Unit Classes
No refund shall be made for variable units not earned by the student.
