As set out in PCCD Administrative Procedure 2511, the District Academic Senate represents Peralta’s four college senates in making recommendations to the Chancellor and Board of Trustees with respect to academic and professional matters, enumerated under Title 5 in the so-called 10 + 1.
The Peralta DAS meets most first and third Tuesdays during the regular academic year from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the district boardroom at 333 E. 8th St., Oakland CA 94606. Meetings are usually accessible online as well via a link made public with the meeting agenda at least 72 hours ahead of each session:
DAS is made up of three representatives apiece from each constituent college senate, with a president elected either from among the delegations or from the Peralta faculty at large.
