Matching Degrees with Disciplines:
- Minimum Qualifications
You must make sure that your degree matches with a discipline. Use the California Community College’s definition of Minimum Qualifications along with the Peralta Community College District class schedules to understand what discipline you’d be able to serve as a faculty member. If your degree is in a non-traditional academic discipline that doesn’t match traditional lower-division classes offered at our colleges, please be sure to read through the Minimum Qualifications Handbook. - Equivalency Application
After consulting the Minimum Qualifications handbook and course offerings, if your degree is in an interdisciplinary field of study or does not otherwise match a field of study offered at our colleges and you believe you would meet the Minimum Qualifications through equivalencies, please review Equivalency Application on this page: link
