Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is basically a financial projection to help identify direct and indirect costs of a facility and equipment. TCO applies a systematic approach to balancing maintenance costs, operating costs and replacement/refurbishment costs over the life of the asset. It combines cost information with real-time experience and provides a data foundation for taking a closer look at some cost, provides a foundation for considering cost reductions and overall gives practical financial information to support data-driven decision-making.
